Diraq is redefining scalable quantum computing by enabling billions of qubits on a single chip—far beyond the hundreds available today—to unlock practical, commercial quantum applications. We are building a full-stack quantum computing company, delivering quantum hardware and software as a cloud-accessible service.

Our proprietary technology, backed by over 20 years of research and more than $150 million in funding across 11 patent families, leverages existing silicon CMOS manufacturing and foundries to accelerate development and reduce costs—paving a faster, more efficient path to market.

We are a team of world-leading scientists, engineers, and business professionals. With a strong IP portfolio and partnerships with global technical and commercial leaders, we are shaping the quantum ecosystem of the future and driving meaningful impact across the entire industry.

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Quantum Measurement Engineer to join our growing team. You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of our company’s ambitious technical roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in experimental physics, electrical engineering, or a related field, with experience in designing, implementing, and optimising measurement systems for quantum devices. Your work will directly contribute to improving the quality and scalability of our quantum processors.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake specific research project/s and contribute to development of research activities.
  • Design and develop measurement setups for quantum devices, including cryogenic systems, microwave electronics, and data acquisition systems.
  • Perform detailed characterisation and analysis of quantum devices, ensuring high precision and accuracy in measurements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate measurement systems with quantum hardware and software.
  • Design, build, and maintain measurement apparatus.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to measurement systems and equipment.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and foster a collaborative working environment.

Requirements

  • PhD, or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 of years of experience in experimental research, particularly in quantum measurement or related areas.
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of quantum mechanics.
  • Proficiency in using and programming measurement instruments (e.g., AWGs, FPGAs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers).
  • Demonstrated capability to independently design and execute experiments.
  • Proven ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students.
  • Proactive and keen learner.
Bonus if you have:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductors and CMOS technology.
  • Experience in setting up a scientific laboratory.
  • Knowledge of quantum computing.
  • Experience with qubit measurements.
  • Knowledge of gate-defined quantum dots.
  • Experience with low-temperature and cryogenic systems.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and world experts in the quantum computing field and a distinguished senior leadership team and Board.
  • A dynamic, supportive, and innovative work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Exposure and education from leading experts in the ground-breaking technologies that are shaping the future of quantum computing.
  • Competitive total compensation package, including salary and equity.
  • Comprehensive health cover plan.
  • 401(k) retirement plan or similar retirement support, in line with local norms.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
