Process Engineer (Scale -Up)

NOPO Nanotechnology Private Limited is looking for a highly motivated and technically competent Process Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in chemical industries. The candidate will be responsible for process design support, plant operation optimization, troubleshooting, process safety, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize plant process performance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Prepare and review process engineering documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment sizing, and operating procedures.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and plant startup/shutdown activities.
• Perform process simulations and evaluate process improvements for productivity and energy efficiency.
• Coordinate with production, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and maintenance teams for smooth plant operation.
• Ensure compliance with process safety standards, HSE guidelines, and quality requirements.
• Analyze operational data and identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for operational issues.
• Assist in vendor discussions, technical evaluations, and project execution activities.
• Maintain proper engineering documentation and reports.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in process engineering within chemical/EPC/ Pharma process industries.
• Good understanding of process calculations, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles.
• Knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, separators, and utilities.
• Familiarity with process safety standards and industrial best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software/tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commissioning or pilot plant operations.
• Knowledge of process automation and instrumentation coordination.
• Exposure to Chlorine, H2O2, hydrogen or advanced material industries will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
