Plant Maintenance Coordinator

Red Ember is looking for a Plant Maintenance Coordinator to take ownership of maintenance planning, breakdown coordination, statutory inspections, service-provider management, critical spares, fleet maintenance and general factory upkeep within a busy industrial/manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be technically credible, highly organized, and comfortable coordinating maintenance activities across production machinery, auxiliary equipment, vehicles, and factory infrastructure. The role is suited to an experienced Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Planner, Junior Maintenance Manager or Technical Coordinator with strong planning, administration and follow-through skills.

Requirements

3–5 years’ relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, field service, or a technical coordination role.

Industrial/manufacturing environment experience with exposure to production machinery and equipment.

Strong experience in preventative maintenance planning and coordination.

Experience coordinating breakdowns, contractors, and external service providers.

Practical mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault awareness.

Experience with maintenance records, stock/spares control and purchasing.

Strong Excel and Outlook skills.

Must be comfortable working on the factory floor, identifying maintenance and safety issues, and following up with technicians and suppliers.

Qualifications:

A relevant N4–N6 qualification, trade qualification, technical certificate or diploma will be advantageous. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) will also be beneficial.

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license preferred.
