Network & Firewall Engineer (L3)

Principal Responsibilities:

• Act as the recognized firewall technical expert (Check Point, Fortinet) and apply technical knowledge of network security solutions to meet business requirements and resolve identified technical constraints.
  
• Accountable design authority for technology decisions and stay abreast of technology trends and advise Technology and the Business about potential benefits/impacts.
  
• Provide a network security consultancy role to Technology and Business teams where appropriate. Define configuration standards and provide technical solutions to Operations teams to resolve technical issues.
  
• Work and implementation on various complex projects, as a Technical Subject Matter Expert. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical deliverables are met.
  

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Proficient hands-on experience networking background (Subnetting, Switching, Routing, VLANs, VRFs, NAT, VXLAN, EVPN…etc).
  
• Proficient in setting up and manage the modern configuration management, infrastructure as code tools, CI/CD tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Git, GitHub...etc.).
  
• Proven experience in vendor management, including coordination with vendors on project delivery, technical issues, and resolution activities.
  
• Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation and provide 2nd-line network support for major incidents outside normal business hours.
  
• Strong problem-solving and incident management skills, with the ability to lead problem resolution and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  
• Cantonese and Mandarin speaking is an advantage (may need to work with local data center), but English speaking is acceptable.
