A vibrant, Michigan engineering firm is seeking a Project Architect for their Midland area office!
Responsibilities:
- Consult with client to determine requirements for new structures or renovation
- Coordinate/attend meetings with clients, consultants, planning officials, building officials and/or health/safety/law officials
- Prepare contract documents
- Conduct periodic on-site observation to monitor compliance with plans
- Produce high quality work
- Ensure all work is reviewed by a registered architect
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborate with team members at all levels of design phases
- Attend client meetings, possibly face-to-face
- Travel to clients and construction sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of experience in related experience in commercial, medical and/or institutional projects
- Architecture License preferred
- Knowledge of contract administration/office procedures
- Knowledge of basic building systems (architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural)
- Experience generating construction documents in AutoCAD/Revit
- Experience with 3D modeling, presentation and design software (Photoshop, Bluebeam, Enscape, 3D Studio, Sketch Up)
- Mathematical skills
