Job Description

Prologic Consulting Inc. is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to residents with intellectual disabilities at Waco Center for Youth. The ideal candidate will support residents' mental health needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, evaluate medication use, and maintain accurate clinical documentation using electronic medical records.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose psychiatric disorders.
• Provide appropriate psychiatric treatment and develop individualized care plans.
• Evaluate and document the clinical justification for medication use.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of clinical encounters using electronic health record systems.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
• Communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations effectively.
• Comply with facility policies, applicable regulations, and required HHSC training.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team.

Requirements

Requirements

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Texas medical license.
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Must possess a current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
• Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Must be proficient in computers and electronic health record systems.
• Must complete all required facility and HHSC training.
• Must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision.

Schedule and Work Arrangement

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $150/hour
• Duration: 6-month contract
• Service Delivery: On-site or remote via telepsychiatry.
• Important: Remote providers must be present on-site for the first day.
