Founding Full Stack Engineer (Applied AI)

Our growing client, a San Francisco-based startup founded in 2025 that builds autonomous post-sales AI agents, is interviewing now for a looking for a Founding Full Stack Engineer with 5-7 YOE to join our small, senior-level team building AI-powered customer lifecycle management.
We are re-imagining how B2B companies engage and delight their customers. Rather than simply augmenting humans with AI, we’re harnessing AI agents to rebuild customer operations from the ground up. Our goal is to orchestrate the perfect blend of digital and human touchpoints, enabling high-touch service at scale—while making customer relationships feel more human than ever.

We are looking for a generalist engineer who can work across the full stack (Python/FastAPI backend-heavy, React frontend), interface with customers, and help shape our product and culture from the ground up. This is a critical hire to help us scale and service our growing customer pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs (Python, FastAPI) and frontend experiences (React) across the full stack
  

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand use cases and co-build custom AI agents and workflows
  

• Own product and infrastructure areas end-to-end — from problem identification to shipping, including architectural decisions
  

• Collaborate closely with the co-founders and have a significant influence on the product roadmap and company strategy.
  

• Operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, taking ownership of outcomes from problem identification to shipping features.
  

Requirements

Work experience:
MUST HAVE:

Experience at an early-stage, VC-backed (Seed to Series B) startup.

Updated Hard skills:

Python and backend development (FastAPI).

React or equivalent modern frontend framework.

Seniority:

5 - 7 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.

Work experience:

Demonstrated promotion history in at least one previous role.

Soft skills:

Strong communicator — can interface directly with enterprise customers and translate requirements into features.

Miscellaneous:

California-based strongly preferred (SF Bay Area ideal).
