Technical Lead - Wood Flooring

Black & Grey HR is recruiting a Technical Lead for a prestigious and top-tier manufacturer operating in the wood flooring industry, specialising in wood-based building and interior finishing solutions in UAE. The role requires a strong technical and manufacturing background in wood flooring, with expertise in product development, material selection, production processes, installation systems, and technical optimisation. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant industry experience, with the ability to identify production and installation risks, recommend mitigation measures, and improve product quality, performance, and durability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical improvements and product development initiatives for wood flooring.
• Evaluate wood species, raw materials, adhesives, finishes, and coatings for different applications.
• Oversee and optimise manufacturing processes, product quality, and technical performance.
• Assess production and installation risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Provide technical guidance on flooring installation methods, including click-lock and tongue-and-groove systems.
• Evaluate the advantages, limitations, and suitability of different flooring systems and materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve product performance, installation efficiency, durability, and overall quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the wood flooring industry.
• Strong technical expertise in production, manufacturing, product development, or installation.
• Sound knowledge of wood flooring materials, adhesives, finishes, and coatings.
• Experience in product development, technical improvements, and process optimisation.
• Understanding of different wood flooring types, material sources, and their applications.
• Practical knowledge of flooring installation systems and associated technical challenges.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective technical solutions.
