Senior Litigation Associate - Commercial, Regulatory & Public Law

Locations: San Francisco, CA | Newport Beach, CA | West Palm Beach, FL
Total Experience Required: 6+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court
Compensation: $215,000, depending on experience
Work Arrangement: Hybrid flexibility, consistent with client and practice needs
Visa Type: USC or GC only
Engagement Restriction: No C2C

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced litigation associate to handle complex commercial, regulatory, and public law disputes. This role offers significant matter responsibility, direct client engagement, and close collaboration with experienced partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cases and litigation components with increasing independence.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and substantive briefs.
• Conduct and oversee written discovery and motion practice.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client strategy sessions.
• Work with partners on litigation strategy and case development.
• Analyze evolving statutory and regulatory issues.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and regulators.
• Collaborate with associates, attorneys, and staff across offices.

Practice Areas

• Commercial and corporate litigation.
• Partnership, shareholder, and governance disputes.
• Regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.
• Administrative proceedings and writ petitions.
• Appellate matters and pre-litigation counseling.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court.
• Experience collaborating with other attorneys and staff.
• Strong research, writing, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
• Active California Bar membership or the ability to obtain admission promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Training at a leading law firm, litigation boutique, or government practice.
• Judicial clerkship or government experience.
