HR Manager

Our client is a leading Nigerian conglomerate with diversified operations spanning Fire-Fighting Equipment, Power Generation (Diesel, Gas and Solar/Hybrid Generators), Construction, Shipping Services, Air Cooling Systems, Warehousing, Facility Management, Boat Building and Export of Agricultural Commodities.

LOCATION: Lagos

Job Summary: The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Company 

Job Responsibilities

• Align people strategies, culture, and executive policies directly with overarching business goals.
  
• Direct workforce planning, recruitment, and employer branding to attract and retain top-tier talent.
  
  
• Lead performance management, succession planning, and change management during organizational growth.
  
  
• Design, implement, and evaluate continuous learning programs to boost workforce skills and productivity.
  
  
• Manage competitive compensation and benefits frameworks in coordination with financial budgets.
  
  
• Drive employee engagement, open communication, and resolution of workplace grievances and conflicts.
  
  
• Oversee HR operations, HRIS data, legal compliance, and executive metric reporting.
  
  
  Job Requirements
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage).
  
• Minimum of 8 years progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) required.
  
• Proven track record in strategic HR leadership, change management, and organizational development.
  
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
