Your Next Challenge

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. You will contribute to the evolution of application solutions, identify best practices, and support the delivery of high-quality software in an Agile environment.

Beyond hands-on development, you will help guide junior developers, coordinate technical tasks, review deliverables, and share knowledge with production support teams. You will also collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements and project objectives.

What You’ll Work On

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Java 17 or later and Spring Boot.
  
• Design and implement APIs and application integrations.
  
• Apply software development best practices to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  
• Work with Hibernate and relational and NoSQL databases.
  
• Implement messaging and asynchronous communication solutions using technologies such as Apache Kafka.
  
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to support application deployment and containerization.
  
• Contribute to the identification and adoption of appropriate application architectures, tools, and technical solutions.
  
• Explore and adopt AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
  
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
  
• Support junior developers by defining tasks, providing technical guidance, and reviewing deliverables.
  
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to production support teams and assist with application handover.
  
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and align technical deliveries with business needs.
  
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
  
• Strong experience with Java 17 or later.
  
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
  
• Experience designing and developing APIs.
  
• Knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices.
  
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka.
  
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Ability to identify suitable technical solutions and apply software development best practices.
  
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior developers and coordinating technical deliverables.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Clear and effective communication, autonomy, and proactivity.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively, delegate tasks, and take ownership of technical deliveries.
  

Bonus Points

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector.
  
• Knowledge of document management processes.
  
• Familiarity with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies.
  
• Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) and its application in software solutions.
  
• Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  
• Experience using AI-powered development tools.
  
• Experience with application production support and technical knowledge transfer.
