Welder Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fitter with strong welding and fabrication skills. The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding/fabrication drawings and accurately fit and assemble components according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  
• Fit, align, tack, and assemble metal components according to drawings and specifications.
  
• Perform MIG welding and other welding processes as required.
  
• Measure, cut, grind, drill, and prepare materials for fabrication.
  
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, and calipers.
  
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, angles, and component placement before welding.
  
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and accuracy.
  
• Operate grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment safely.
  
• Identify and correct fitting or fabrication issues.
  
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Welder/Fitter, Fabricator, or Structural Welder.
  
• Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings is mandatory.
  
• Experience fitting and assembling metal components independently.
  
• Strong MIG welding skills; TIG/Stick welding experience is an asset.
  
• Knowledge of welding symbols, measurements, tolerances, and fabrication techniques.
  
• Ability to use hand, power, and measuring tools.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
  
• Welding certification is an asset.
