Alpine Business Consulting works where finance processes and the technical systems that support them meet. We often see a gap between how finance teams need to work and how their software is actually configured. Our team specializes in remediation, stepping in to fix reporting systems that were built without a deep understanding of the close process or the chart of accounts. For our current project, we are working closely with a major French industrial partner to support and stabilize their automated workflows, ensuring their financial data moves accurately across the organization.
About the role
As an RPA Support Specialist, you will be part of a remote team focused on the day to day health of automated processes. This is an entry level role designed for someone who enjoys technical troubleshooting and values precision. You will not be caught up in implementation theatre: instead, you will focus on keeping bots running and ensuring that data flows correctly into systems like Oracle EPM or SAP BPC. Because we operate with a finance first mindset, you will learn how to look past the code to see the accounting logic underneath. This is a permanent, full time position that offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a fully remote environment without the need for an office or daily commute.

- Identify and document errors when automated workflows fail due to system updates or data changes.
- Perform basic configuration updates to bot logic under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Maintain a detailed data dictionary to track how information moves between different industrial systems.

- Create clear, step by step documentation that helps our clients become entirely self sufficient.
- Participate in remediation tasks where existing automations need to be rebuilt to reflect correct finance logic.
- Track and report on the reliability of specific workflows, focusing on accuracy rather than vague performance metrics.
- A logical mindset and the ability to follow complex, multi step technical instructions.
- Basic familiarity with the concept of automation or how software interfaces interact with each other.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including a comfort level with structured data and standard formulas.
- Strong written communication skills for creating technical guides and internal status updates.
- An interest in finance or accounting, specifically how numbers move from a ledger to a final report.
- The ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying in close contact with the team.
- A preference for direct, plain spoken communication over corporate jargon.
- Experience with basic SQL queries for checking data consistency in databases.
- Prior exposure to reporting tools like Power BI or Snowflake.
- Introductory knowledge of EPM platforms such as Oracle or SAP.
- A fully remote work environment that respects your focus and personal time.
- Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry level position in the current market.
- Direct mentorship from experts who understand both the technical and financial sides of a project.
- Exposure to complex data challenges within a major French industrial firm.
- A professional atmosphere that avoids the typical theatre of large scale enterprise consulting.
- Opportunities to work on fixed price engagements with clear goals and realistic timelines.
- Training in professional documentation and client self sufficiency.
- A clear career path toward technical consulting or systems architecture.
