Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial interior fit-out experience to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, quotations, tendering, variations, progress billing, vendor coordination and overall commercial management of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Take-Off & Costing

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for commercial fit-out projects.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and project costing.
Prepare competitive quotations for new project inquiries.
Review drawings, specifications and BOQs to identify project requirements.
Analyse project costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Tendering & Commercial Activities

Prepare and review tender documents.
Analyse scope of work, specifications and commercial requirements.
Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare detailed comparative statements and commercial analysis.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for commercial requirements.
Support vendor evaluation and appointment processes.

Variations & Billing

Prepare, submit and manage variation orders.
Identify additional works and maintain proper variation documentation.
Prepare and submit progress billings.
Monitor project costs and commercial status.
Coordinate with project teams regarding completed works and billing requirements.

Vendor & Project Coordination

Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers and site teams.
Handle material and vendor-related commercial activities.
Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and commercial submissions.
Ensure commercial information is accurate and submitted on time.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of UAE/Dubai experience in a similar QS role.
Strong experience in commercial interior fit-out projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, costing, quotations and tendering.
Hands-on experience with variations and progress billing.
Experience in vendor quotation evaluation and comparative statements.
Strong commercial and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to read and understand construction/interior drawings.
Valid UAE Driving License – Mandatory.
