About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer – Full Stack to design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level applications for government programs. The successful candidate will build secure, scalable, and maintainable platform services across frontend, backend, API, workflow, integration, and data-access layers.

This role involves developing Java-based microservices, REST APIs, database components, and enterprise integrations while collaborating with architects, business analysts, UX designers, QA specialists, DevOps engineers, security teams, and other stakeholders. The developer will also provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support production deployments and ongoing application enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable enterprise applications.
  

• Build and maintain Java-based microservices, REST APIs, RESTful web services, and reusable platform services.
  

• Develop frontend, backend, workflow, middleware, integration, and data-access components.
  

• Translate technical specifications and business requirements into working, tested applications.
  

• Design and maintain database objects, SQL queries, data transformations, conversion routines, and integration components.
  

• Implement security protocols and gateways, including JWT, OAuth 2.0, SSL certificates, identity integration, and secure communications.
  

• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, API, database, and user-interface tests.
  

• Participate in design walkthroughs, code reviews, impact assessments, estimation, sprint planning, and release planning.
  

• Review, modify, test, and troubleshoot build, configuration, installation, and deployment scripts.
  

• Resolve technical issues related to development, implementation, migration, deployment, and production operations.
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  

• Provide post-implementation support and improve application performance, reliability, extensibility, and maintainability.
  

• Prepare and maintain technical, system, deployment, user, and support documentation.
  

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and quality oversight while meeting project deadlines.
  

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications or equivalent senior-level development experience.
  

• Extensive hands-on Java development experience with Oracle, SQL, or comparable relational database technologies.
  

• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and RESTful web services.
  

• Experience with microservice architecture and Internet-ready applications.
  

• Experience with security gateways and protocols, including JWT, OAuth 2.0, SSL certificates, secure communications, and identity integration.
  

• Strong knowledge of relational and hierarchical databases, query languages, SQL tuning, middleware, gateways, and communications protocols.
  

• Experience with data conversion, migration, and enterprise integration activities.
  

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, refactoring, clean code, and structured development methodologies.
  

• Experience with Agile delivery approaches, automated testing, and Azure DevOps or comparable tools.
  

• Experience with application deployment, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and post-implementation support.
