A private family of four in Atherton is seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Live-In Nanny-Housekeeper to join their household team in a long-term capacity.

The family has two school-aged children, and the position is approximately 60% professional housekeeping and household support / 40% childcare and family support.

The ideal candidate is a career household professional who is warm with children, highly organized, proactive, discreet, and experienced maintaining a private residence to a consistently high standard.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Support

Daily professional housekeeping and room resets

Full-family laundry, ironing, steaming, linens, and wardrobe care

Organization of closets, drawers, pantry, refrigerator, storage areas, and children's belongings

Periodic deep-cleaning and organizational projects

Grocery shopping, errands, deliveries, and household supply management

Proactively communicate household needs to the Household Manager

Childcare & Family Support

Support two school-aged children with morning and after-school routines

Drive children to school, tutoring, sports, lessons, appointments, and activities

Prepare simple meals and healthy snacks

Assist with homework, reading, activity preparation, and organization

Maintain children's bedrooms, wardrobes, school supplies, and activity equipment

Pack and unpack for activities and travel

Provide additional childcare support during family events and occasional travel

Candidate Requirements

5+ years of professional private household experience

Strong professional housekeeping experience

Significant experience caring for school-aged children

Ability to understand and communicate in Mandarin Chinese

Valid U.S. driver's license with an excellent driving record

Confident driving throughout the Peninsula and Bay Area

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Comfortable working Monday through Saturday in a live-in arrangement

Flexible around family schedules, events, and occasional travel

Minimum two directly verifiable professional references

Able to pass comprehensive background and driving-record checks

Preferred Background

Candidates with previous experience in UHNW, fully staffed, or similarly high-standard private households are strongly preferred.

Experience working with a Household Manager or Estate Manager, maintaining professional household boundaries, caring for high-quality furnishings and garments, supporting family travel, and anticipating household needs will be highly valued.

Living Arrangement

Private live-in accommodations will be provided. A family vehicle will also be available for authorized work-related driving.
