Experience Host (Part-Time) | B. Elevated

B. Elevated is Houston's interactive fragrance studio. Guests make a scent that is truly theirs, for their body, their home, or their candles. We are hiring two Experience Hosts.

We are a faith-based company. Our values start with love and care for every guest, and our studio includes a prayer request corner. You do not have to share our faith to work here, but you should be comfortable in that environment.

What will you do

Greet and check in guests, and help them explore scents. Ring up sales and fulfill orders in Shopify. Set up, clean, and reset the studio. Support events.

You notice when someone needs help and you jump in. You make people feel at home. You show up on time and tell us ahead if you cannot. You think a problem through before asking for help.

No fragrance or candle experience needed. We teach that.

Requirements

• Weekend availability: Saturday and Sunday strongly preferred, and Fridays are a high-need day. Some weekday shifts of three to four hours may come up.
• Warm, clear communicator who is comfortable greeting people.
• Initiative and dependability: you spot what needs doing, and you tell us in advance if you cannot make a shift.
• Good judgment: you try a solution before asking for help, and stay calm with several guests at once.
• Comfort with numbers and measuring (ounces, milliliters) and simple adding and subtracting.
• Able to stand most of a shift and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to follow our polished professional dress and grooming standard: clean business-casual clothing in neutral colors, small minimal facial jewelry, natural-looking hair color. Closed-toe shoes recommended. We consider religious and medical accommodation requests.
• Within about 20 minutes of Houston 77027 is recommended, since team members stay longest when the commute is short.
• Bonus, not required: host stand, hospitality, restaurant seating, retail, or point-of-sale experience.

• $13 to $15 per hour, based on experience.
