Senior GitHub Platform Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior GitHub Platform Engineer with 6 to 12 years of expertise to architect and manage our enterprise-level development infrastructure. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing software delivery pipelines and enhancing security posture by leveraging GitHub Enterprise Cloud, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security. The ideal candidate will drive automation initiatives and integrate advanced AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot to boost developer productivity. Operating within a hybrid environment that includes Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services, this professional will ensure seamless CI/CD operations while maintaining robust security standards across all development life-cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable GitHub Enterprise Cloud environments and associated workflows.
  
• Configure and manage GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes efficiently.
  
• Oversee the deployment and optimization of GitHub Advanced Security features to protect codebases from vulnerabilities.
  
• Integrate GitHub Copilot into development teams to enhance coding speed and quality.
  
• Collaborate with Azure DevOps to synchronize version control, project management, and release pipelines.
  
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and .NET/ASP.NET Core for custom tooling and integrations.
  
• Architect serverless solutions utilizing Azure Functions and Logic Apps to extend platform capabilities.
  
• Design and implement secure REST APIs to facilitate communication between internal systems and the GitHub ecosystem.
  
• Enforce DevSecOps practices to embed security checks throughout the continuous integration and delivery lifecycle.
  

Requirements

• Possess 6 to 12 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or software development.
  
• Demonstrate deep proficiency with GitHub Enterprise Cloud, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security.
  
• Show hands-on experience integrating GitHub Copilot into enterprise development workflows.
  
• Have strong expertise in Azure DevOps for managing projects and pipelines.
  
• Be skilled in scripting and development using Python and .NET/ASP.NET Core.
  
• Possess practical knowledge of Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps for serverless architecture.
  
• Understand REST API design principles and automation strategies.
  
• Proven track record of implementing DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
