Lab Support Specialist

Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a “Laboratory Support Specialist” based in Wilmington, MA.


Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility of Extension)
Pay Rate: $28.60/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory waste and coordinate waste pickups.
  
• Maintain chemical and consumables inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  
• Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, preventive maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting.
  
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, customer visits, and lab coat management.
  
• Organize monthly lab meetings and support laboratory operations.
  
• Learn NGS library preparation workflows to assist with manual testing.
  
• Coordinate vendor visits, service contracts, and equipment/CapEx purchases with Procurement.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is a must.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience, experience with laboratory equipment, chemical inventory, laboratory supplies, or NGS library prep is a plus.
