Home-Style Baking Volunteer (Afternoon Tea) | Weekly or Fortnightly

Turn simple ingredients into special memories by cooking alongside residents.

Use your passion for baking and connection to create a warm and welcoming afternoon tea experience at HammondCare Wahroonga. As a Home-Style Baking Volunteer, you'll support residents to prepare simple homemade treats while encouraging resident participation and celebrating individual abilities.

More than just baking, this role is about bringing people together. Through shared stories, friendly conversation, and plenty of laughter, you'll help create meaningful moments and foster a sense of belonging for residents. Whether it's mixing ingredients, decorating biscuits, reminiscing about favourite family recipes, or enjoying a cuppa together afterwards, every session offers an opportunity for connection and joy.

HammondCare Wahroonga will provide all ingredients, resources, equipment, and a dedicated space for the activity.

All that's needed is your enthusiasm, encouragement, and willingness to help create an afternoon tea experience that feels warm, social, and full of friendship.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time for you to bake 2-3:30pm  Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
