Merchant Acquiring Team Leader

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Merchant Acquiring Team Leader in Bahrain. Key Responsibilities

• Lead merchant acquiring product and sales initiatives to drive business growth and expand the acquiring portfolio.
  
• Define and support the product vision and strategy for merchant acquiring solutions based on business and merchant requirements.
  
• Identify, develop, and secure strategic partnerships that strengthen the merchant acquiring business.
  
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts with merchants, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  
• Develop and execute merchant sales initiatives in coordination with internal banking stakeholders.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, partners, and key decision-makers.
  
• Understand merchant requirements and provide comprehensive acquiring solutions aligned with their business needs.
  
• Monitor merchant acquiring initiatives and work cross-functionally to improve product adoption, sales performance, and business growth.
  

Required Skills

1. Merchant Acquiring: Strong understanding of merchant acquiring products, services, and business processes.
   
2. Banking/Financial Services: Mandatory professional experience within the banking or financial domain.
   
3. Product & Sales Management: Ability to manage acquiring-related product and sales initiatives.
   
4. Strategic Partnerships: Experience developing commercial partnerships and managing partner relationships.
   
5. Contract Negotiation: Ability to negotiate commercial terms and agreements with merchants and strategic partners.
   

Preferred Skills

• Merchant portfolio development and relationship management.
  
• Strong understanding of payment/acquiring ecosystems.
  
• Cross-functional stakeholder management experience within financial services.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates must have 4–7 years of professional experience, with experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain being mandatory. Relevant exposure to merchant acquiring, payments, merchant sales, acquiring products, partnerships, or related banking environments is preferred.

Education

• Minimum: Typical — Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
  
• Preferred: Typical — MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.
  
• Additional: Relevant payments, banking, sales, or financial-services certifications are advantageous.
