Position Summary A Senior Manager is needed to oversee Tax and Accounting Services. This role manages client relationships, supervises staff, ensures high‑quality deliverables, and supports practice growth. The ideal candidate has strong public accounting experience, advanced software proficiency, deep GAAP knowledge, and proven leadership skills. Additional hours may be required during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management • Oversee tax and accounting operations. • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff. • Review work for accuracy and compliance. • Conduct evaluations and support development. • Promote a collaborative, client‑focused culture.

Client Service • Serve as primary relationship manager. • Provide tax planning, consulting, and accounting solutions. • Meet with clients to assess needs and identify opportunities. • Maintain strong client satisfaction.

Technical Responsibilities • Review complex business, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns. • Review financial statements, compilations, and accounting engagements. • Ensure GAAP compliance. • Research and resolve tax and accounting issues. • Provide technical guidance to staff. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Stay current on tax law and accounting standards.

Technology & Process Management • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software. • Support workflow and efficiency improvements. • Assist with best practices and quality control.

Business Development • Participate in networking and business development. • Identify opportunities to expand services. • Support strategic planning and growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Active CPA license. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. • 8–10 years of progressive public accounting experience. • Experience managing tax and accounting engagements. • Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge. • Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software. • Proven leadership and team management experience. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Commitment to professionalism and quality.

Preferred • Experience managing multiple engagements. • Experience mentoring staff. • Business development experience. • Experience with closely held businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals.
