Data Scientist

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience as a Data Scientist / Data Engineer to develop and maintain the Transaction Monitoring data model.
  
• Process large volumes of data using Python, PySpark, Databricks, and Airflow, ensuring scalable data processing and reliable data availability for transaction monitoring applications.
  
• Develop and maintain the Transaction Monitoring data model to effectively utilize global data sources.
  
• Develop and optimize production-ready Python/PySpark code for processing large-scale data flows.
  
• Work with Databricks and Airflow to build scalable and reliable data processing solutions.
  
• Contribute to building a monorepository and onboarding new regions to the data model.
  
• Collaborate with data producers across Rabobank to understand data sources and ensure data quality.
  
• Work closely with developers responsible for creating Transaction Monitoring logic and provide reliable data to support their solutions.
  
• Continuously improve the technical quality, scalability, and maintainability of the data model.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, brainstorming sessions, and continuous improvement activities.
  
• Experience as a Data Scientist or Data Engineer.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.
  
• Experience with Databricks.
  
• Experience with Airflow.
  
• Strong understanding of scalable data processing and data transformations.
  
• Knowledge or experience in Transaction Monitoring is preferred.
  
• Professional proficiency in English.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
  
• Ability to critically reflect on your work and continuously improve.
  
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Information Studies, or a comparable STEM discipline.
  
• Experience working in an IT environment.
  
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture.
  
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and distributed data processing.
  
• English proficiency is mandatory; Dutch language skills are not required but would be considered a plus.
