Trade Marketing Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven Trade Marketing Manager to strengthen and lead our Trade Marketing function as an independent team, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain. They will translate company and brand strategies into effective trade plans, promotions, product launches and in-store execution, while using sales and market data to identify opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual and monthly trade marketing plans aligned with business and brand objectives.
• Develop channel and customer specific promotions, roadshows, and trade marketing activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve product distribution, visibility, availability, and sales performance.
• Monitor key SKU and product range performance against targets and previous-year performance.
• Analyse sales performance by channel, customer, and SKU to identify opportunities, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Track distribution points and identify distribution gaps across relevant channels.
• Monitor New Product Development (NPD) performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Plan, manage, and evaluate trade promotions, events, and roadshows.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure promotional activities and product launches are supported by sufficient stock and operational readiness.
• Work closely with Supply Chain on stock readiness, forecasting, and out-of-stock risks.
• Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for POSM production, events, roadshows, and field execution.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Trade Marketing and field execution team, including Trade Marketing Executives, Merchandisers, Sales Operators, and Promodisers.

Key Requirements:

• 4–6+ years of relevant experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management or Commercial Planning.

• Minimum 2–3 years of managerial / people-management experience.

• Preferably from FMCG, consumer, retail, health & wellness or related industries.

• Proven experience managing field teams, merchandisers, promoters or agencies.

• Strong commercial and analytical thinking, with good understanding of trade promotions, merchandising and retail execution.

• Able to translate sales data and market insights into actionable trade strategies.

• Experience in building or improving Trade Marketing processes is an advantage. Excellent command in spoken and written Mandarin as the role involves dealing with Chinese suppliers/buyers and sourcing from China.

Remuneration Package:

RM8,500 - RM10,000
