Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Officer to join a Local Authority team for a 3-month contract, focusing on a significant Housing Asset Investment programme. This role involves providing specialized procurement support for property maintenance, planned works, refurbishment, and housing investment contracts. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leaders in property and housing to craft procurement strategies and execute comprehensive procurement processes that align with long-term service goals. This position demands extensive experience in housing, asset investment, planned maintenance, refurbishment programmes, and public sector procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire procurement process for housing asset investment initiatives.

• Manage procurement projects exceeding £100,000 in value.
  
• Collaborate closely with Housing Asset Management and Property Services teams.

• Lead supplier engagement and market testing activities.
  
• Oversee procurement project timelines, risks, governance, and reporting.
  
• Offer strategic procurement guidance to senior managers and directors.
