💼 About the Role

As an IT & Security Specialist, you will help keep our people, systems, and security processes running smoothly as Otera grows. This is a hands-on opportunity to build strong IT foundations while developing your career in information security.

You will support colleagues with day-to-day IT needs, manage access and devices, and help operate our security and compliance processes. You will work across teams to turn important requirements into reliable ways of working and have the opportunity to take on broader security responsibilities as you grow.

🔥 Key Responsibilities

IT Operations

• Be a go-to person for day-to-day IT questions, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Manage user accounts, access, and devices, including support for onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain clear IT documentation and help improve how requests and issues are handled.
  

Security & Compliance

• Work in Vanta to maintain evidence, monitor controls and tests, and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Carry out routine security and access checks, helping ensure processes are completed consistently and on time.
• Support security awareness activities, audit preparation, and the tracking and remediation of security issues.
  

Collaboration & Improvement

• Partner with People, Engineering, and other teams to make IT and security processes work in practice.
• Spot gaps, propose improvements, and help build scalable foundations as the company grows.
• Develop your understanding of our customers and products, with the opportunity to support customer and sales security requests over time.

😊 About you

• Around 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience and a strong interest in growing into information security.
• Experience supporting users and administering systems, accounts, and devices.
• An understanding of access management and everyday security practices; experience with Vanta or similar compliance tools is a plus.
• A practical, detail-oriented approach: you follow through, keep good records, and think about the impact of changes.
• Comfortable working with colleagues across the business and explaining technical issues clearly.
