Travel & Earn: Licensed Insurance Agent, Benefits Enrollment
Southern California based | On-site enrollments in Illinois and other states | All business travel covered
ERB runs on-site benefit enrollments for employers across the country, including senior-living facilities, healthcare facilities and public-sector groups. We're hiring licensed agents who want a role that includes travel. You'll fly out with a small ERB team, meet with employees face to face, help them choose coverage for their families, and fly home. ERB covers all travel costs.
How you get paid
-
$150 daily stipend for every qualifying enrollment day, paid every two weeks, starting with your first trip.
-
Commission on the coverage you enroll, paid as premium comes in.
-
The stipend is an advance on your commission. If your commission is higher than the stipend, ERB pays you the difference.
Your travel is covered
-
Flights, hotel and rental car or ground transportation, covered by ERB.
-
Breakfast and lunch covered. Dinner is covered by a per diem of $35 to $55 a day depending on the city, loaded before you leve. No receipts are needed.
-
ERB never deducts travel costs from your stipend or commission.
What a trip looks like
-
Most trips run three to five days.
-
You travel with experienced ERB enrollers and a team leader.
-
Trips are posted in advance in our scheduling app, and you accept your dates before anything is booked.
-
Enrollment days can start early or run late, so we reach every shift. Some enrollments run back-to-back weeks.
What you'll do
-
Lead group presentations and one-on-one benefit meetings on-site, and sometimes virtually.
-
Explain Life, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and other voluntary benefits in plain language.
-
Enroll employees accurately in the client's system and in our CRM.
-
Coordinate schedules with our enrollment and outreach teams.
-
Represent ERB professionally at every client site.
What you need
-
An active California Life and Accident & Health insurance license.
-
Willingness to travel out of state, including by air, for three- to five-day trips.
-
Ability to obtain non-resident licenses for the states we enroll in. We'll guide you through the process.
-
Errors & Omissions (E&O) coverage, which you can put in place after you're hired.
-
A valid driver's license and the ability to drive a rental car.
-
Ability to stand for long on-site days.
-
Insurance sales or benefits enrollment experience is a plus. Newly licensed agents are welcome to apply.
-
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Why ERB
-
Every enrollment is assigned. You meet with employees whose employer invited ERB on-site.
-
ERB handles scheduling, travel, and on-site support.
-
You get product and enrollment training before your first trip, and experienced enrollers work alongside you on-site.
-
As our public- and private sector accounts expand, agents can move up to team lead.
