Automation QA Tester

About the Role:
We are looking for an Automation QA Tester who can independently convert quality risks into reliable automated coverage for web and mobile applications. You'll combine solid QA fundamentals with practical automation, API, and CI/CD skills — taking ownership of automation quality from framework development through execution and release validation.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web and mobile applications.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks and test components.
• Automate Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and End-to-End test scenarios.
• Perform cross-browser, cross-device, and cross-platform automation.
• Develop and execute API automation and validate service integrations.
• Perform SQL/database validation as part of automated and manual verification.
• Integrate automated test suites with GitLab CI/CD or equivalent pipelines.
• Investigate automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and distinguish product defects from test/environment issues.
• Identify, document, and track defects using GitLab, Jira, or similar tools.
• Support release validation and production sanity testing.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Teams to improve testability and overall quality.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, execution time, reliability, and QA processes.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of QA experience with strong hands-on Automation Testing expertise.
• Strong Manual Testing fundamentals and experience with Web and Mobile Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent tools.
• Experience designing or maintaining automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong API testing knowledge with Postman and/or API automation frameworks.
• Good SQL/database validation skills.
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD, preferably GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and test strategy.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have
• Performance testing experience using JMeter, k6, or similar tools.
• Basic security testing knowledge.
• Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms.
• Experience integrating test reporting, screenshots, logs, and notifications into CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Docker or containerized test execution.
