Java Developer

Role: Backend Java Developer

Location: Columbus, OH
Rate: $50–55/hr. W2
Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card, or GC EAD preferred

Job Description

The developer will be responsible for backend application development, microservices, AWS cloud services, database troubleshooting, and production support.

Required Skills

• Strong Java development experience.
  
• Strong Spring Boot experience.
  
• Experience developing microservices.
  
• Strong REST API development experience.
  
• Hands-on AWS experience, including:
  
  • S3
    
  • Lambda
    
  • Glue
    
  • EMR
    
  • EKS
    
• Strong SQL skills.
  
• Database troubleshooting experience.
  
• Application debugging and production support experience.
  
• Agile/Scrum experience.
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs.
  
• Work with AWS cloud services and batch-processing applications.
  
• Write and optimize SQL queries.
  
• Troubleshoot application and production issues.
  
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, compliance, and business teams.
  
• Support reliable application delivery in an Agile environment.
