Head of Engineering – Multi-Site | Ireland | International

Occupli is supporting a leading engineering and advanced manufacturing organisation in the appointment of a Head of Engineering – Multi-Site.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for setting engineering direction across multiple sites, strengthening technical capability and ensuring engineering teams deliver high-quality, scalable solutions to demanding customer and production environments.

The role will suit an experienced engineering leader who combines technical depth with strong people leadership, operational discipline and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the engineering strategy across multiple locations.
  
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams, creating a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  
• Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, automation and related engineering disciplines.
  
• Drive engineering standards, design quality, common platforms and repeatable solutions.
  
• Ensure engineering resources and capability are aligned with business priorities and project requirements.
  
• Partner closely with manufacturing, projects, quality and commercial leadership to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and deliverable.
  
• Champion engineering excellence, compliance, innovation and robust technical governance.
  
• Build future capability through talent development, succession planning and targeted skills growth.
  
• Use engineering and operational data to improve productivity, quality and delivery performance.

Requirements

• Senior engineering leadership experience within a complex manufacturing, automation, machinery or engineered-product environment.
  
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across more than one location or business unit.
  
• Strong background in the delivery of complex engineered products or equipment from concept through design, manufacture, testing and customer delivery.
  
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  
• Strong understanding of engineering systems, change control, technical documentation and quality processes.
  
• A confident, credible leader who can operate strategically while remaining connected to engineering execution.
