CNC Machine Operator

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of CNC Machine Operator in Qatar. Our client is a reputed organization in the Shipbuilding / Heavy Fabrication sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently for shipbuilding and heavy fabrication requirements.
  
• Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, drawings, and machining requirements.
  
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
  
• Monitor machining operations and make appropriate machine adjustments to maintain accuracy.
  
• Inspect completed components using appropriate precision measuring instruments.
  
• Perform routine machine checks and identify operating abnormalities or tooling issues.
  
• Maintain accurate production and machining records as required.
  
• Follow workplace safety, quality, and operational procedures in the fabrication environment.
  

Required Skills

1. CNC Machine Operation — Hands-on ability to operate CNC equipment accurately and safely.
   
2. Machine Setup — Knowledge of setting up machines, workpieces, and tooling for production.
   
3. Engineering Drawing Interpretation — Ability to understand dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication drawings.
   
4. Precision Measurement — Ability to verify machined components using appropriate measuring instruments.
   
5. Heavy Fabrication Knowledge — Familiarity with machining requirements in shipyards or heavy fabrication environments.
   

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on shipbuilding or offshore structure fabrication projects.
  
• Knowledge of CNC tooling, machine adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
  
• Familiarity with industrial safety and quality requirements in heavy fabrication facilities.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator in shipyards or heavy fabrication industries. Experience involving CNC machining in shipbuilding, offshore structures, or similar heavy industrial fabrication environments is preferred.

Education

Minimum: ITI or Trade Apprenticeship; alternatively, Higher Secondary Education or Secondary Education with 3 years of shipbuilding/offshore structure fabrication experience
