Key Responsibilities
- Install gypsum boards, drywall, and partition systems as per project requirements.
- Construct false ceilings, wall partitions, and decorative gypsum structures.
- Measure, cut, and fix gypsum boards accurately.
- Install metal frames, channels, studs, and supporting structures.
- Perform gypsum ceiling and partition finishing work.
- Carry out joint filling, sanding, and surface preparation for painting.
- Read and understand basic drawings, measurements, and layouts.
- Ensure proper alignment, level, and finishing of gypsum installations.
- Repair and modify existing gypsum structures when required.
- Coordinate with other trades and site supervisors.
- Follow site safety rules and company procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Gypsum Carpenter.
- Experience in construction, interior, or fit-out projects preferred.
- Good knowledge of gypsum board installation, false ceilings, and partition work.
- Ability to use carpentry and gypsum installation tools.
- Ability to understand basic drawings and measurements.
- Good attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Physically fit and willing to work at construction/project sites.
