Build in One of the Strongest Construction Markets in the Country

McCulloh Consulting is hiring for a Senior Project Manager opportunity in the Dallas metro area.

Dallas-Fort Worth continues to be one of the most active construction markets in the country, with major growth across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, office, mixed-use, education, and infrastructure-related development. For an experienced construction leader, Dallas offers the kind of project volume, career visibility, and long-term opportunity that can be hard to match in smaller markets.

This role is a strong fit for a seasoned commercial construction professional who wants to lead complex projects, own project outcomes, work with high-performing teams, and play a visible role in delivering major work across the region.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will provide overall direction and leadership for significantly complex construction projects and/or multiple projects at one time.

This person will be responsible for project execution, financial performance, subcontractor management, schedule oversight, client communication, risk management, safety culture, and project closeout. The role requires someone who can lead from preconstruction through final delivery while keeping teams aligned, owners informed, and projects moving forward.

We are looking for a construction leader who understands how to manage the details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What You Will Lead

  • Lead complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own project outcomes related to safety, quality, schedule, budget, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Support preconstruction efforts including quantity takeoffs, scope development, bid packages, schedule planning, trade coordination, and subcontractor review
  • Lead buyout planning, subcontractor selection, scope review, bid analysis, and subcontract issuance
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change requests, owner approvals, subcontractor pricing, and project documentation
  • Lead project meetings, progress meetings, owner/architect meetings, and monthly project reviews
  • Develop and manage project schedules with the Superintendent and project team
  • Track labor, materials, procurement, schedule impacts, manpower, weather, scope changes, and mitigation plans
  • Prepare and review monthly cost projections, margin forecasts, owner pay applications, and subcontractor pay applications
  • Monitor project financials, budget performance, costs, profitability, and risk exposure
  • Lead project closeout including punch list, financial closeout, warranties, subcontractor completion, and final documentation
  • Partner with internal teams including logistics, self-perform, safety, risk management, legal, marketing, and senior leadership
  • Build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal project teams
  • Support business development, client presentations, and community or industry relationship-building efforts
  • Promote a strong safety culture and help maintain an injury-free work environment

Best Fit

This role is a strong fit for a Senior Project Manager, experienced Project Manager, or construction leader who has managed large commercial projects for a mid-sized or large general contractor.

The strongest candidates will bring strong financial discipline, project ownership, client-facing confidence, subcontractor management experience, and the ability to lead teams through complex project demands.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to manage from behind a screen. It is built for someone who can lead meetings, read the room, solve problems, make decisions, build relationships, and keep the project team moving in the right direction.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in the Dallas metro area.

The position may include time in both office and active project site environments. Candidates should be comfortable visiting jobsites, working with field teams, managing project demands, and adjusting schedules as needed to meet project requirements.

A valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required. Occasional travel may be required.
