SAP FINANCE – FP&A / FINANCIAL PLANNING FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT

Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Functional Consultant specializing in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) domain to join our IT Services team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in SAP General Ledger, Cost Centers, and Profit Centers to drive strategic financial planning initiatives. Your primary objective will be to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, and P&L planning workflows are implemented effectively. This position is critical for optimizing financial operations and supporting data-driven decision-making through advanced driver-based planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the requirement gathering process to translate business needs into comprehensive functional specifications for SAP finance modules.
  
• Design and configure planning workflows that align with specific business rules to enhance the accuracy of financial forecasts.
  
• Manage the full lifecycle of Fixed Assets and General Ledger processes within the SAP environment.
  
• Develop and maintain driver-based planning models to support dynamic budgeting and forecasting activities.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define Profit Center accounting structures and optimize Cost Center reporting.
  
• Facilitate the implementation of FP&A solutions that streamline P&L planning and improve financial visibility.
  
• Ensure all functional designs adhere to industry standards and organizational policies regarding financial data integrity.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Finance consultant with a focus on FP&A and controlling functions.
  
• Proven expertise in SAP GL, Cost Center, Profit Center, and Fixed Assets management.
  
• Strong proficiency in implementing Driver-Based Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting solutions.
  
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough requirement gathering and author detailed functional specifications.
  
• In-depth knowledge of financial planning workflows, business rules, and P&L planning strategies.
  
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end FP&A lifecycle within an IT services context.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into technical requirements.
