PROJECT ENGINEER / SENIOR CAD DESIGNER (M/F)

Fallprotec is a Luxembourgish company that conceptualizes, develops and sells protective equipment for work at height and access machines to perform building maintenance (BMU). Thanks to the great successes encountered by the initial product range over the last decade, Fallprotec develops more and more complex and technologic products such as autonomous hoist, robots… through self-funded R&D projects. The company is facing multiple challenges due to the international growth and the expansion of its product range. Today, almost half of the turnover is performed outside Europe and exports play a major role in our company development and corporate identity. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are strengthening our Engineering department and are open to three profiles: engineers or CAD designers who will manage projects, and senior CAD designers focused on technical design without project management.

• Common core – within the Engineering department, in collaboration with the sales and production departments, your task is to:
• Create and develop component and system requirements and specifications.
• Optimize the concepts and designs with analytical and mechanical assessments.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve integrated and optimized solutions.
• Create conceptual and manufacturing shop drawings (2D and 3D).
• Contribute to improving products, processes or any other activity within the company.

Depending on your profile, you will then follow one of two tracks:

Project track (engineer or experienced CAD designer)

• Carry out the complete project management process, from design to onsite handover.
• Act as the main technical contact for the customer: requirements, planning, budget and follow-up.
• Coordinate sales, production and installation teams throughout the project.

Designer (senior CAD designer, no project management)

• Be the technical reference for design: complex systems, detailed 2D/3D drawings and design reviews.
• Standardize and improve drawings, libraries and design methods.
• Support and coach less experienced designers.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Engineer profile: 5-year university degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, 0 to 3 years of experience.
• CAD designer with project management: technical degree in mechanical design (BTS/DUT/Bachelor or equivalent), at least 5 years in a design office, including project follow-up.
• Senior CAD designer: technical degree in mechanical design (BTS/DUT/Bachelor or equivalent), at least 5 years in a design office.

EXPERIENCES/SKILLS

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Design experience (2D and 3D). Ideally INVENTOR - AUTOCAD
• Good understanding of customer requirements to translate them into technical solutions.
• Project management skills (Project track).
• Sense of responsibility and urgency; showing initiative and being proactive.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-focused.
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Able to work under pressure and autonomously.
• Teamwork
• French or English is mandatory. Any other language is an advantage.
