Structural Design Coordinator

Our International Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Structural Design Coordinator to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile new build projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Structural Design Coordinator with strong knowledge in RCC frames, structural steel and rebar working on high profile projects in the UAE with preference given to those with prior experience working for recognised Main Contracting Companies
This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate structural works with architectural & MEP disciplines
Review IFC drawings for constructability and site implementation
Compare Tender vs IFC documents and flag major changes with cost impact
Raise RFIs and technical clarifications to consultant
Review and manage rebar / steel shop drawings
Create and track structural material submittal & shop drawing logs
Monitor approvals, revisions, and close-out status
Support site team with structural solutions and sequencing
Resolve on-site structural issues and NCRs
Ensure compliance with project specifications and Abu Dhabi authority requirements
Attend coordination, technical, and progress meetings
Act as technical interface between site, consultant, and subcontractors
BIM experience is preferred
Structural Design Coordinator Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Structural or related
Minimum 5 years overall experience. at least 4 and relevant experience in recognised main contracting companies.
Previous experience in large scale projects will be highly advantageous
Proficiency in Engineering Coordination including RCC Frames, Structural Steel and Rebar.
Relevant design software experience (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
