An older gentleman living at home is looking for someone to share a cuppa, a laugh and the occasional chat about the latest mystery on TV.

With a lifetime of stories about travel, work and sport, he's always up for a good conversation and enjoys reminiscing about days gone by. Whether you're discussing a classic crime drama, sporting highlights or life's twists and turns, you'll never be short of something to talk about.

If you're the kind of person who enjoys a good yarn, listening to fascinating stories and brightening someone's day with your company, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for an hour visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
