DevOps Engineer – RecordPoint Platform

Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the RecordPoint Platform within the IT Services sector. This pivotal role demands a professional with over a decade of expertise who can bridge the gap between complex infrastructure management and robust application development. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our microservices ecosystem, while simultaneously applying advanced information governance principles to safeguard critical records data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage containerized environments using Podman and Docker to support high-availability microservices.
  
• Orchestrate service mesh configurations with Istio to enhance traffic management, security policies, and observability across distributed systems.
  
• Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations to ensure seamless data exchange between internal modules and external partners.
  
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate development cycles and improve code quality within the team.
  
• Architect and deploy scalable solutions on RHEL servers, ensuring optimal performance and system stability.
  
• Apply deep knowledge of Python and Java Spring Boot to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance backend services.
  
• Enforce strict records management and information governance standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related IT infrastructure roles.
  
• Proven expertise in Service Mesh technologies, specifically Istio, and containerization tools such as Podman and Docker.
  
• Strong proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs for complex system integrations.
  
• Hands-on experience with modern development practices utilizing GitHub Copilot and version control systems.
  
• Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture patterns and their implementation challenges.
  
• Solid background in Records Management and Information Governance within a technical context.
  
• Advanced scripting and programming skills in Python and Java, with specific focus on the Spring Boot framework.
  
• Extensive operational experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server environments.
  
• Ability to work within the IT Services industry, delivering high-quality solutions for enterprise clients.
