EPG is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for one of our partners that is an established high-voltage battery and power-electronics company, bringing technology proven in demanding, high-reliability applications to a new backup-power product for AI data centers. In this position, you will own the top-level requirements, system architecture, and safety case for a new 800V program and be the technical face to data center customers.
- Own requirements management, interface control, and program leadership for the 800V program.
- Set top-level requirements and flow them down across all workstreams.
- Own interface control, system architecture, and the safety case.
- Be the customer-facing technical point of contact for data center operators.
- Drive compliance (UL 9540/9540A, IEEE 1547, NFPA 855) and manage schedule and risk.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- 7+ years of systems engineering or technical program management for power or energy systems.
- Requirements and interface management across multi-disciplinary hardware programs.
- Customer-facing experience (requirements discovery, proposal development).
- This role is onsite in the Pacific Northwest. Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship (US Persons only, export-control requirement).
- Data center operator requirements, redundancy / N+1, utility interconnection.
- Aerospace or ESS certification (DO-311, UL 9540A).
- Concept-to-certification leadership.
Benefits
- Annual performance bonus: eligible for an annual performance-based bonus (typically around 7 to 8% at this level), awarded on performance after you join.
- Equity: a company stock option program is planned, with leadership committed to rolling it out by the end of the year.
- Health coverage: approximately 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision for you and your family.
- Retirement: roughly 9% 401(k) match.
- Location advantage: based in Everett, WA, with no Washington state income tax.
- The opportunity: join a well-funded, roughly 100-person company moving like a startup, building a clean-sheet 800V product from concept to production, where your work ships rather than sits on a shelf.
