Reporting to the IT Program Delivery & Application Support Manager, the roleinvolves comprehensive support of existing applications, development of new applications,andserving as a technology expert within project teams.

💼 Role: Senior Technology Application Specialist (Fixed Term)

Main Accountabilities

• Strategically implement and configure advanced software applications to meet organisational objectives and user requirements.

• Provide Business-As-Usual (BAU) support for end-users across a diverse range of non-SAP applications.

• Play a pivotal role in integrating software applications via middleware, ensuring seamless communication and functionality between disparate systems—including integration with enterprise corporate technologies such as SAP ERP to support end-to-end business processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, ensuring business continuity and minimal operational impact.

• Oversee regular maintenance and systematic updates to ensure application security and performance optimisation.

• Ensure the consistent reliability and high performance of existing applications through proactive ongoing support.

• Lead the innovation and development of cutting-edge applications that are in line with organisational ambitions and the forefront of technology.

• Act as the principal technical resource in projects demanding specialised application development or significant modifications, guaranteeing that technical solutions are perfectly synchronised with project objectives and offer substantial value.

• Conduct consultations with stakeholders to extract precise business requirements and goals, confirming that application deployments are perfectly tailored to strategic business plans.

• Act as the principal technical authority and custodian of the Pact BI data model, overseeing its integrity, development, and deployment within the organisation.

Key Deliverables/ Business Outcomes

• Achieving high levels of satisfaction from end-users and stakeholders regarding application BAU support, as reflected in Net Promoter Scores (NPS).

• Ensuring the successful deployment of application projects that meet all technical specifications and business requirements.

• Delivering significant enhancements in application performance, security, and scalability, contributing to robust and reliable business operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Extensiveand demonstratableexpertise in developing and managing integration solutions, with a strong focus on middleware platforms and suites such as SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)—including SAP Integration Suite and REST API Management—to enable seamless data and process integration across enterprise systems.

• Advanced proficiency in DevOps practices and pipeline management, including the design and implementation of both code-based and low-code integration interfaces between disparate systems to enhance data flow, operational efficiency, and system interoperability. Experience with SnapLogic is highly desirable.

• Extensive expertise in SQL and in JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery andReact, supporting the development and maintenance of complex data-driven applications and integration logic.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure services, with the ability to leverage cloud-native tools to support scalable, secure, and modern integration solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform—including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power Pages—to build tailored business applications and workflows that complement integration efforts.

• Strong command of Microsoft Power BI, capable of transforming integrated data into actionable insights through dynamic dashboards and reports.

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, contributing to enhanced user experiences and application performance, with a particular focus on managing and transforming large-scale data environments to support enterprise analytics, real-time intelligence, and unified data governance.

• Demonstrated experience in migrating and transforming legacy data platforms to modern, scalable architectures. Skilled in data mapping, cleansing, and restructuring to ensure continuity, integrity, and performance across evolving enterprise systems.

• Exposure to SAP Fiori isdesirable.

Accreditation / Qualification Requirements

• Tertiarydegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
