Software Developer

A few small internal tools keep our projects running: a staffing planner, a client data room, and the scripts that turn client exports into tables our consultants can analyze. You would maintain them and build the next ones. The role is full-time and remote, open anywhere in the U.S.

Wert Group is a management consulting firm in Boston. We advise owners and management teams on strategy, organization design, operating models and governance, including companies with operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Add features and fix bugs in our internal web apps (TypeScript and Python)
• Write scripts that clean client data exports and load them into our analysis database
• Write tests for your code and go through pull requests with our senior developer
• Deploy through our CI pipeline to Azure, and keep the documentation and setup guides up to date
• Talk to consultants about what they need before you build it
• Fix data and access problems that users report

Requirements

• A computer science or related degree, or a coding bootcamp plus a portfolio
• Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, from a job, an internship or your own projects
• Git and pull requests
• Basic SQL

Nice to have

• React or another front-end framework
• Azure or AWS
• You have worked with spreadsheets or data exports from business systems
