Upholsterer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and upholstering furniture and other products using fabric, leather, foam, and related materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and prepare fabric, leather, vinyl, foam, and other upholstery materials.
  
• Install padding, foam, springs, webbing, and other support materials.
  
• Stretch, fit, and secure upholstery materials to furniture frames.
  
• Use staple guns, hand tools, power tools, scissors, and sewing equipment as required.
  
• Upholster chairs, sofas, benches, headboards, panels, and other furniture products.
  
• Remove and replace damaged or worn upholstery when required.
  
• Read measurements, drawings, templates, and work orders accurately.
  
• Inspect completed products to ensure proper fit, alignment, appearance, and quality.
  
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to furniture frames and upholstery.
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  
• Meet daily production and quality targets.
  
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of upholstery experience preferred, ideally in furniture or manufacturing.
  
• Experience working with fabric, leather, vinyl, foam, and padding.
  
• Strong knowledge of upholstery tools and techniques.
  
• Experience using pneumatic staple guns and other hand/power tools.
  
• Sewing experience is considered an asset.
  
• Ability to take accurate measurements and work from templates.
  
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  
• Able to lift and move furniture/materials as required.
  
• Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
