Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to support the reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial production equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across electrical, mechanical, PLC, automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial equipment systems. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery, interpret technical documentation, and work safely in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Follow all applicable safety regulations, procedures, and company standards.
Partner with Engineering to install, test, troubleshoot, and release new or modified equipment.
Record maintenance activities accurately using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in industrial production and processing environments.
Troubleshoot and support PLCs and automated manufacturing systems.
Troubleshoot industrial networking and communication systems, including:
EtherNet/IP
ControlNet
DeviceNet
Troubleshoot AC drives, motors, encoders, and resolvers.
Perform calibration of flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments and control loops.
Troubleshoot and repair:
Bearings
Conveyors
Gearboxes
Rotating equipment
Industrial machinery
Perform equipment rebuilds, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
Support automation and distributed control system architectures within manufacturing and processing environments.
Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Read and interpret:
Blueprints
Electrical and mechanical schematics
Technical drawings
Equipment manuals
Work orders
Test results
Machine error messages
Inspect equipment and parts for damage, defects, and wear.
Test and observe operating machinery to identify equipment issues and performance problems.
Safely operate and use hoists, lifts, grinders, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical/mechanical testing equipment.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely corrective repairs.
Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other maintenance and technical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Controls Technician, or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
Experience with both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Working knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation.
Experience troubleshooting AC drives, motors, encoders, and/or resolvers.
Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and work orders.
Experience using maintenance tools and diagnostic/testing equipment.
Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and heavy equipment.
Experience documenting maintenance activities in a CMMS or similar maintenance-management system.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial processing facility.
Strong PLC troubleshooting experience across multiple PLC platforms.
Experience with distributed control systems and industrial automation.
Experience with instrumentation and calibration of process-control devices.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Experience supporting equipment installation, testing, startup, and commissioning.
Experience working closely with Engineering and Production teams.
Strong preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on onsite manufacturing position in a large-scale industrial production facility. The role involves working around operating machinery, conveyors, electrical systems, automated equipment, rotating equipment, and other industrial systems.
The technician must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and following strict safety procedures while performing troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvement activities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a versatile multi-craft maintenance professional with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with PLCs, automation, industrial networks, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
Candidates who can independently diagnose complex equipment issues while working collaboratively with Engineering and Production teams are highly encouraged to apply.
