Senior Resident Engineer – RE - Aruba & SD-WAN – freelance – remote for Azerbaijan

Role Summary
Experienced Enterprise Network / SD-WAN Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting and operational expertise across an Aruba enterprise network environment, with a strong focus on Aruba Silver Peak SD-WAN.
The engineer will support the existing installed base, investigate complex network issues, assist with configuration and optimisation, and work closely with customer technical teams.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Aruba Silver Peak / EdgeConnect SD-WAN.
  
• Experience supporting, troubleshooting and configuring Silver Peak environments.
  
• Strong understanding of WAN routing and enterprise branch networking.
  
• Good knowledge of routing protocols, IP networking, VPNs and WAN connectivity.
  
• Aruba enterprise networking experience across switching, wireless and network management.
  
• Experience with Aruba Central and/or ClearPass is highly desirable.
  
• Relevant Aruba / Silver Peak certifications are advantageous.
  
• Experience with other SD-WAN platforms such as VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet or Cisco SD-WAN is also relevant, provided there is strong Aruba / Silver Peak expertise.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Aruba / Silver Peak environment.
  
• Troubleshoot SD-WAN, WAN routing, branch connectivity and network performance issues.
  
• Support configuration, optimisation and incident resolution.
  
• Troubleshoot Aruba switching, wireless, Central and ClearPass where required.
  
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Work with customer operations and engineering teams on escalations and technical improvements.
  
• Support the existing Aruba installed base throughout the 12-month engagement.
