About the Employer

Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport, defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration, technical improvement and sustainable outcomes.

The Opportunity

Lead electrical and renewable energy estimating for national solar, wind and multidisciplinary infrastructure tenders. Based in Sydney or Brisbane, you will manage estimating quality, commercial strategy and team development to produce competitive, technically sound submissions.

Your Responsibilities

• Build tender strategies that address commercial risk and opportunities for value engineering.
• Lead detailed estimates covering labour, equipment, materials and subcontract work.
• Review take-offs, supplier proposals and RFIs for accuracy and compliance.
• Coach estimators and improve consistent estimating practices across the team.
• Maintain pricing models and estimating data and coordinate client clarifications after submission.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

• At least twelve years in electrical and renewables estimating, including multidisciplinary infrastructure tenders.
• Strong knowledge of detailed engineering, construction methods, planning and scheduling.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with estimating software and large databases.
• Practical leadership, initiative and the ability to make sound decisions under tender deadlines.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to developing estimating teams.
• Current entitlement to live and work in the role location.
