This role reports to the Lighting Design Manager and forms parts of the overall sales side of the business through managing and delivering lighting design and technical support to the sales team, The incumbent will also work as a dotted line responsibility within a customer account team alongside a customer account executive.

Within this team you will manage new opportunity designs and technical requirements, related deadlines and milestones, and compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations.

As a Senior Lighting Designer, you will play a critical role in our company's design team, contributing to the fulfillment of client opportunities, projects, and the success of our organization.
This role demands a high level of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders and must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and embraces our company's vision, mission, and values.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:

• Reviewing client briefs and documenting them accurately within our internal systems.
  
• Providing design concepts, and submissions for new clients and opportunities.
  
• Executing lighting designs in adherence to Design & Construct specifications, company protocols, and client deadlines.
  
• Managing and collaborating with junior designers and contractor teams:
  
• Assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to team members.
  
• Assisting in the selection of appropriate lighting fixtures.
  
• Providing guidance and support throughout the design process.
  
• Conducting thorough reviews and approving completed designs.
  
• Facilitating the review and processing of client-initiated design changes.
  
• Overseeing peer reviews and addressing any questions or issues promptly.
  
• Ensuring the above is completed in accordance to client deadlines and milestones.
  
• Assisting when required in the design, development and testing of new and existing products.
  
• Providing technical assistance and guidance to internal team members and clients on design inquiries, quotes, and technical matters
  

Requirements

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:

Technical Requirements:

• Agi32: Advanced proficiency required.
  
• AutoCAD: Intermediate proficiency expected; familiarity with Revit is a bonus.
  
• Office 365: Advanced knowledge necessary.
  
• Salesforce/CRM: Intermediate proficiency preferred.
  

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the following standards:

• AS1680.0 to AS1680.5
  
• AS1158.3.1
  
• AS4282
  
• Green Star V1 and V1.3
