Our International Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Civil Estimation Engineer to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive experience as a Civil Estimation Engineer working on major civil construction projects including mid / high rise residential, commercial, mixed use and mall / retail building projects. Only candidates who have worked for a recognised main contracting company previously will be considered This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare cost estimates. Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective project execution. Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to assess project requirements. Research and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities in project planning. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, reports, and bid proposals for client presentations. Ensure estimates comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications. Maintain a database of costing information, market rates, and historical data for reference. Support post-tender activities, including negotiations and contract finalization

Estimation Engineer Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in construction cost estimation, quantity surveying, or tendering for a recognised Main Contracting Company. Proficiency in estimation software (AutoCAD, Primavera, CostX, etc.) and MS Excel. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple project estimates simultaneously. Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and contract terms related to civil engineering projects.
