Internal Audit Executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented Internal Auditor to monitor financial transactions, review store operations, ensure compliance with company policies, and identify operational and financial risks across retail outlets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal audits of retail stores, warehouses, and head office operations.
  

• Verify daily sales, cash collections, bank deposits, and cash balances.
  

• Audit POS billing, discounts, returns, refunds, and promotional transactions.
  

• Monitor inventory, stock movements, GRN, stock transfers, and physical stock verification.
  

• Identify stock discrepancies, wastage, pilferage, and process deviations.
  

• Verify purchase bills, vendor payments, expenses, and supporting documents.
  

• Review petty cash, expense claims, and store-level financial transactions.
  

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and company policies.
  

• Identify financial irregularities, operational risks, and control weaknesses.
  

• Prepare audit reports with observations, findings, and corrective action recommendations.
  

• Follow up with departments and store teams to ensure audit observations are closed.
  

• Conduct surprise audits and periodic compliance checks.
  

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit, Accounting, and Financial Controls.
  

• Experience in retail audits, store audits, and inventory audits.
  

• Knowledge of POS billing, cash management, and sales reconciliation.
  

• Good understanding of purchase, sales, stock, and vendor processes.
  

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
  

• Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate irregularities.
  

• Good communication, report-writing, and coordination skills.
  

• Willingness to travel to retail outlets and branches.
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience in supermarkets, departmental stores, food retail, FMCG retail, fashion retail, or multi-outlet retail chains.
  

• Exposure to stock audits, cash audits, operational audits, and compliance audits.
  

• Knowledge of ERP/POS systems and retail accounting processes.
