Job Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling company products, developing new customers, generating demand and achieving sales targets through effective market coverage and customer relationships.

Role & Responsibilities

Visit dealers, distributors, painters, contractors and customers to promote company products.
Identify new sites, projects, institutions and construction opportunities to generate demand.
Regularly visit ongoing and upcoming projects to identify sales opportunities.
Build strong relationships with painters, contractors, applicators, developers and other key influencers.
Generate leads and develop new customers and business opportunities.
Support dealers to increase secondary sales and product movement.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and product awareness activities.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to business growth.
Maintain regular follow-up with existing and potential customers.
Maintain accurate records of customer visits, leads, projects and sales activities.
Monitor competitor prices, products and market activities and share market information with the manager.
Identify new market opportunities and work towards increasing market share.
Revive dormant customers and develop them into active accounts.
Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
Work closely with Sales & Marketing and other departments to achieve company objectives.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, site visits, leads and demand-generation activities.

Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good negotiation and selling skills.
Customer-focused and target-oriented.
Good organizational and follow-up skills.
Good problem-solving ability.

Work Experience

2–3 years of sales experience in the paints, coatings, building materials, or related industry.

Additional Skills

Good presentation and communication skills.
Strong sales and business development skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Good knowledge of market and customer requirements.
Willingness to travel and work in the field.
Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
