Quality Control Inspector

Symbiotic Services is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for a manufacturing opportunity with one of our clients. This position works closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and maintain quality information for documentation and data analysis.
  
• Inspect finished products, work-in-process materials, incoming components, parts, and assemblies.
  
• Conduct internal and external quality audits.
  
• Perform weekly audits throughout production, receiving, and incoming supplier material areas.
  
• Identify internal and external non-conformities through inspection and trend/data analysis.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties on corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Verify corrective actions have been completed for identified quality issues.
  
• Ensure appropriate processes, systems, and training are in place to support quality standards.
  
• Inspect incoming supplier parts for compliance with specifications.
  
• Maintain organized and accurate quality records.
  
• Provide additional quality assurance support as needed.
  

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement: At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Preferred candidates will have 2–5 years of quality and/or manufacturing experience; familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma, or root-cause analysis tools; quality control, auditing, or process-analysis certifications; basic proficiency with quantitative data and Microsoft Excel and Word; and bilingual communication skills.

Successful candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to identify defects and deviations from design standards, effective organization and prioritization skills, accurate data recording, and strong written and verbal communication. The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and suppliers while maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

The position includes computer and keyboard work as well as periodic walking on a manufacturing floor. Employees may be required to reach above or below waist level and lift up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required. Manufacturing-area work may require PPE, including safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection.

Performance Expectations

The position supports established quality, delivery, and safety objectives, including monitoring customer quality metrics, completing assigned projects and tasks on schedule, and maintaining required safety training.
